Once again this past holiday season at Radius Logistics we were thrilled to give back to our community in several ways. With that in mind, we set out to maximize our charitable giving over the holidays with three campaigns focused on making life better for those in need in our community.
In lieu of sending Christmas cards to clients, we re-directed our efforts with an email outreach campaign. Throughout December we contacted each client and gave them opportunity to have a say in how we donated in recognition of their continued support. Our email outreach allowed clients to click on the charity of their choice for Radius to direct our donations. The three charities we supported this year were; Canuck Place Hospice, Covenant House and the Surrey Foodbank. This campaign resulted in an excess of $4500.00 in donations to Canuck Place Hospice, Covenant House and the Surrey Foodbank, and we look forward to making that number even bigger next year.
Once again, Radius was excited to participate in our annual outreach as part of the Covenant House Backpack Program. We volunteered our time to collect donations from our vendors, staff and one of our amazing clients to help us provide 50 backpacks with necessities and some nice gifts for at risk youth in the Lower Mainland.
In addition, we revamped our popular Radius Logistic’s Ugly Sweater Contest on social media and asked our followers to participate in posting their favourite ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater’ for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. This year, our entries totalled in $475 for the cause.
On behalf of all of us at Radius Logistics, we thank everyone who participated in our holiday giving campaign for their generous support. We are proud to be part of such a big-hearted and incredible community of change makers.
