Meet the Team Thursdays: Mundo Garza, Logistics Coordinator

 

People are our greatest resource here at Radius Logistics. We have an incredibly talented and diverse team that are at the heart of our 3PL operations. From Customer Service, Rates, International and more, we have close knit teams to handle your business’ most important function- getting your product safely and efficiently from A to B (wherever that may ‘B’).

We want to introduce you to one of our newest team members today.

Meet Mundo! Mundo is our new Logistics Coordinator. He is from Neuvo Laredo, Mexico and moved to beautiful Vancouver in June 2017. Mundo has been working in Logistics since 2013, and has obtained his Industrial Engineering Degree and MBA.

We asked Mundo a few questions to help you get to know him better:

 

How did you find your position at Radius Logistics?

A recruiter found me on LinkedIn!

 

Tell us a bit more about what you do here!

My role is very interesting, I work here as logistician.

I have to match the perfect carrier for each load assigned to me so we can provide exceptional service to our customers. I keep my eyes on load details, profit, service, communication and relationships.

 

What is your favourite thing about working at Radius?

My favorite thing about working at Radius is the community! People here are friendly and kind.

 

You are from Mexico! What brought you to Canada?

I came to Canada to study English, and now Vancouver is home.

 

What is your greatest achievement and how has that shaped you?

Beside completing my master’s degree, coming to Canada is one of my greatest personal achievements. Moving here has taught me how to confidently make big life changing decisions and I am so grateful to be here.

 

What are some words of wisdom you would give to your younger self?

You are going on the right way, be patient and keep trying hard.

 

What types of hobbies or interests do you pursue after work?

I try to workout at least 3 times per week and I enjoy to keeping in touch with my Family/Friends from Mexico.

I am also interested in helping people, this was one of my goals for new year in 2012. Since then, I have been volunteering in different organizations, and currently I am a volunteer at St Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver.

 

What is one thing on your bucket list?

To be able to speak 2 more languages!

 

Last question- what is your favourite emoji?

The Alien Monster 👾 and the taco 🌮!!
