Meet The Team Mondays: Waylon Hilker, Pricing Supervisor

My personal motto is, “Just be better than Mike.”

I think I was hired at Radius because of my dance moves.

The thing that surprised me the most about working in logistics was how irrelevant my dance moves were.

Some advice I’d give to my teenage self would be “don’t believe Back to the Future, they lied about how time travel works.”

In my free time I’m currently working towards more free time.

My favorite sports team is the Tsawwassen Windbreakers. You should see their left-fielder play, that guy has range…I don’t mean you Trevor, I mean when I’m left field. You know you don’t have range.

If I could host a talk show, my mom would be my first guest. I don’t imagine I have a lot of pull in show business. I would prefer Jason Schwartzman or Paul Rudd as a first guest. No offence mom, but at least I know you would show up.

A fictional place that I’d love to visit would be the holoroom from Star Trek, so I could use it to visit Hogwarts.

“Slowly, so I don’t get dizzy” is my favorite way to unwind after a busy day.

My go-to karaoke song is Minnie the Moocher by Cab Calloway, assuming I’ve “loosened” up.

Playing baseball is my favorite outdoor activity.

Someone in my life that I truly admire is my mom because she taught me that online interviews are a creative space that don’t need to be taken seriously…maybe she didn’t actually say that. If you watch my talk show I’ll make sure to ask her.

The best piece of advice that someone at Radius has given me is “wait a few days after everybody else drank the kool-aid, if they are still okay THEN you can drink it.”
