Meet The Team Mondays: Brayden Clark, Warehouse Manager

Tell us about yourself…

Hi, my name is Brayden Clark and I have been in the transportation industry for over 10 years. I have done everything from picking orders as a warehouse worker, to driving across the country as a long-haul trucker. I’m big into the outdoors, sports, and music. I love camping, fishing and hunting. I play hockey 2-3 nights a week, golf as much as I can and play 1 of my 8 guitars every day. I’m married to the love of my life and we have a beautiful daughter and a second one due in July. Needless to say, I like to stay busy.

What is your role at Radius Logistics?

I am the Warehouse Manager. I oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, which can be everything from the pick-and-pack orders to the cross docks.

How many employees do you have assisting you with the warehouse responsibilities? What traits should your employees possess if they’re looking to grow within the company?

I have 4 employees assisting in the warehouse.  The traits I look for in someone are the ability and willingness to learn new skills. We do something new almost every day and the ability to learn and adapt goes a long way in the ever-changing world of warehousing and logistics.

Your position demands long hours, what is it about your job that keeps you coming back and giving 100% every day?

I am a strong believer of treating people the way I would want to be treated. This is the same for people’s freight. If coming in early or staying late means someone will get their order on time, then I am happy to do it and I would hope they would do the same for me.

Where do you see warehousing in the next 5-10 years?

I think the bare bones of warehousing will stay the same. Freight comes in and freight goes out. I think the technology of warehousing will be the biggest change. Warehouse management systems and inventory control is a big part of warehousing and by advancing this technology, I think warehousing will become more efficient and more accessible to customers.

If you could travel one place by air freight, ocean freight or ground freight, where would it be and which method of transportation would you choose?

I would travel to Hawaii by Air freight.

What’s your go to travel song?

Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution – AC/DC

Midnight Rider – The Allman Brothers Band

Night Moves – Bob Seger

All three on repeat for the entire trip.
