1. Tell us about yourself…
I was born and raised in Williams Lake, BC, then moved to Victoria when I was done high school. I studied at the University of Victoria where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Economics. I left Victoria in 2013, and moved to North Delta to move in with my girlfriend at the time, we had been doing a shorter form of a long distance relationship. It was shortly after moving here that my girlfriend pointed me towards a recruiter that was hiring for Radius and started working here shortly after that. When I’m not working I’m usually playing a game of some sort whether it’s online, on a board, or in a gym.

But the most exciting thing, over the holidays I got engaged to my girlfriend of 3 years, Paige McCullough!

2. What do you do at Radius Logistics?
I’ve been with Radius Logistics for 2 and a half years now, and I feel like I’ve done a bit of everything: warehouse work, logistics, administration, and rates/ pricing. In terms of day-to-day tasks, I would say I play a support role. Who I’m supporting seems to vary, but it normally has to do with numbers or software.

3. What do you love most about your job?
It’s simply the people. It is nice to sit next to friends every day. I hadn’t been in an office atmosphere before, but I think I got really lucky. Everybody here is just awesome.

4. If you could travel one place by air freight, ocean freight or ground freight, where would it be and which method of transportation would you choose?
I believe I would travel by ocean freight to Sweden or Scandinavia – I’ve never been there before and would love to check it out. Also going by ocean would mean I have a lot of free time, which sounds great.

5. If you were stuck on a desert island and could only have 1 item couriered to you by Radius Courier – what would it be?
A Wilson volleyball, of course. Apparently you can survive the worst conditions with an imaginary friend ……and all of the other packages Tom Hanks opened –but I’m just going to look past those.

6. If you could pick your dream car to be transported to you- what would it be?
Ariel Adams or a Redone 1990 Volkswagon golf

So either a really cool, adult sized go-kart, or the reincarnation of my first car.

7. What’s your go to travel song?
Once upon a time I would say it was Convoy by C.W. McCall. (Industry appropriate, but a little farfetched)

But my friend ruined the song for me. I was helping him move – I was driving his car to Williams Lake from Victoria; he was in the moving van. He had around 10-15 burnt CD’s in his car, all labelled something different. But all 20 songs, on every single CD were Convoy by C.W. McCall. I’m a bit done with it now.

Now me and my fiancé like to sing Black Water by The Doobie Brothers on all of our road trips. – no offense Mr. McCall but it’s just a better song too.
